Carnaval on the Mile is the weekend Miracle Mile becomes a street festival. The Kiwanis Club of Little Havana closes downtown’s main street for two days of local art, live music, food and children’s entertainment, and entrance is free. It is part of Carnaval Miami, the run of events that ends with the Calle Ocho Music Festival, and the money raised supports the Kiwanis of Little Havana Foundation’s youth programs.

Carnaval Miami had not posted closing times for 2027 when we checked. In 2026 (March 7-8) the stage schedule ran from noon to 11:15 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7:30 p.m. Sunday. In 2024 the city listed Saturday’s hours as 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.

The layout

The 2026 map in the entertainment guide laid the festival out along Miracle Mile from Douglas Road to Le Jeune Road:

  • Douglas Road stage at the east end, home of the Kidz Nook
  • East Artists Village and food row between Douglas Road and Ponce de Leon Boulevard
  • Ponce de Leon stage, the main stage, near Ponce de Leon Boulevard
  • West Artists Village and food row between Ponce de Leon and Le Jeune Road
  • Le Jeune Road stage at the west end

More than 130 artist and craft booths were listed in 2026. The 2027 artists and entertainment lineup were marked “coming soon” when we checked, and artist and vendor applications for 2027 were open on the festival page.

For kids

The Kidz Nook at Douglas Road and Miracle Mile, presented by Academica Charter Schools, offered cotton candy, balloons, arts and crafts, face painting and children’s shows both days in 2026. A kids music and poster contest ran from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, on the Douglas stage.

Road closures, trolley and parking

Miracle Mile itself is closed to traffic for the festival, and the cross streets Douglas Road, Galiano Street, Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Salzedo Street and Le Jeune Road appear as crossings on the 2026 map. Carnaval Miami and the city had not posted a 2027 closure schedule when we checked.

In 2024 the city said the free trolley ran modified routes on festival Saturday, with normal Saturday hours of 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Check the city’s trolley alerts on festival weekend.

The city’s parking garages near Miracle Mile, such as 245 Andalusia Ave. and 99 Aragon Ave., are the closest places to park. Our Miracle Mile and downtown guide and getting around Coral Gables cover parking and the trolley.

What to know
