Easter 2027 falls on Sunday, March 28, a week earlier than 2026’s April 5 and the Sunday after Miami-Dade schools’ spring break week. In Coral Gables the season revolves around the city’s Eggstreme Egg Hunt on the Saturday before Easter, Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden’s Bunny Hoppening on Easter Sunday and brunch at the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club.

Egg hunts

Eggstreme Egg Hunt (City of Coral Gables). The city calls it the biggest hunt in town. In 2026 it was Saturday, April 4, with gold, silver and bronze prize eggs at four parks:

The Bunny Hoppening at Fairchild. Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, held its Easter event on Sunday, April 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with meet-and-greets with Mr. Bunny, lawn games, live entertainment and seasonal treats. The timed, age-grouped Eggsplore Galore Egg Hunt needs an advance ticket for each child taking part, sold separately from general admission (city listing; Fairchild).

Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt. The Coral Gables Golf and Country Club, 997 N. Greenway Drive, held a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt with a raffle, bunny petting and brunch from Le Parc-Bonjour Cafe Bistro on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (city listing). We found no 2026 or 2027 listing for it.

Easter brunch

Golden Garden Easter Brunch, Coral Gables Country Club, 990 Alhambra Circle. In 2026 it was Sunday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with photos with the Easter Bunny, a brunch and a golden egg hunt with prizes. Space was limited and children 2 and under needed no ticket (city listing).

Holy Week and Easter services

Church of the Little Flower, 2711 Indian Mound Trail (parish office), 305-446-9950. The Catholic parish’s 2026 Holy Week schedule, from its Palm Sunday bulletin (PDF):

  • Good Friday: Stations of the Cross at noon, Liturgy of the Passion at 3 p.m., Via Crucis in Spanish at 7 p.m. and Liturgia de la Pasion at 8 p.m.
  • Holy Saturday: Mass at 8 p.m.
  • Easter Sunday: the regular Sunday schedule, 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m. (Spanish), 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m., with the 10:30 a.m. Mass moved to 10:45 a.m. and overflow seating in Comber Hall.
