Bakeries in Coral Gables are spread out. Downtown has Caracas Bakery on Miracle Mile, Chocolate Fashion on Andalusia Avenue, Sucre Cafe on Biltmore Way and Bachour on Salzedo Street. Bachour has a second shop on Bird Road, Madruga is on South Dixie Highway (US 1), and Dora’s is on Southwest Eighth Street.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside the Coral Gables city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 9, 2026. We added every place on this list from the state’s restaurant inspection records and confirmed Caracas Bakery and Madruga on their own sites. The other four have no website we could read for the Coral Gables shop; the state inspected each between July and September 2026, and we list them without hours instead of guessing. Bachour is pastry chef Antonio Bachour’s bakery and restaurant, with two Coral Gables addresses in the state’s records: Salzedo Street downtown and Bird Road. His website blocked our request when we checked; the state inspected both shops in September 2026.

Caracas Bakery started in 2014 from a love of sourdough, opened its first bakery in Doral in 2019 and found a new home in Coral Gables in late 2024, according to its site. It describes its work as bread and viennoiserie, and has other shops in Doral and on Biscayne Boulevard.

Chocolate Fashion Bakery is on Andalusia Avenue downtown. Its website does not list the Coral Gables shop or its hours; the state inspected it in August 2026.

Dora’s Bakery and Bistro is on Southwest Eighth Street. We could not find a website of its own; the state inspected it in August 2026.

Madruga Bakery mills its own flour on a 26-inch stone mill and uses long, slow fermentation, with an open kitchen and mill room that customers can see into, according to its site. The menu changes with the seasons. It opens Wednesday to Sunday.

Sucre Cafe is on Biltmore Way downtown. We could not find a website of its own; the state inspected it in July 2026.

Not on this list: L’Artisane on Ponce de Leon Boulevard says on its own site that it closed in September 2025. We could not confirm Don Pan on South Dixie Highway or the Panera Bread on Miracle Mile on a page we could read, and neither appears in the state’s latest Coral Gables inspection file.
