Breakfast in Coral Gables clusters downtown, on Giralda Plaza and along Ponce de Leon Boulevard, with more near Shops at Merrick Park and the Plaza Coral Gables. Two hotel and club dining rooms, at the Biltmore and the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club, open early, and the two Denny’s on Miracle Mile and US 1 never close.

The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside the Coral Gables city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 9, 2026. We added Al’s Coffee Shop, both Denny’s, Fontana, MIAM Cafe, Sweet Paris and Threefold Cafe from the state’s restaurant inspection records and our brunch page, and confirmed each on its own site. The places
Al’s Coffee Shop on Ponce de Leon Boulevard calls itself the “Home of the Recession Special” and posts a Coral Gables specials menu on its site. It is a weekday shop, closed on weekends. A second Al’s is in Miami Gardens.
Denny’s has two 24-hour diners in Coral Gables, one at the east end of Miracle Mile and one on South Dixie Highway. Both location pages list breakfast served around the clock, lunch and dinner, and takeout.
Fontana is the Biltmore Hotel’s restaurant around its courtyard fountain. It serves breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Monday to Saturday, lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday to Saturday and dinner from 6 to 10 p.m. daily, according to the hotel. The Sunday brunch is covered on our brunch page.
GROU Coffee + Cowork is a coffee bar and coworking space on Salzedo Street, steps from Shops at Merrick Park. Its site lists cold brew, espresso and matcha from local Miami roasters, a brunch menu with avocado toast and acai bowls, a covered outdoor terrace that is dog friendly, and bookable meeting rooms.
Le Parc Cafe is the cafe at the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club on North Greenway Drive, which also runs the Granada Golf Course. It opens at 7 a.m. six days a week and posts holiday hours on its page.
MIAM Cafe takes its name from the French word for “yum,” according to its site, and has other cafes in Wynwood, on Biscayne Boulevard and in Fort Lauderdale. The Coral Gables cafe is on Ponce de Leon Boulevard downtown.
Sweet Paris Creperie and Cafe is in The Plaza Coral Gables. Its location page lists sweet and savory crepes, waffles, brunch and dinner, with vegan and gluten-free options, and valet and self-parking at The Plaza.
Threefold Cafe is on the pedestrian block of Giralda Avenue and serves breakfast, coffee and brunch every day. Its site says it has outdoor seating when available.
Not on this list: we could not confirm Cortadito Coffee House on Miracle Mile or the Starbucks at 292 Miracle Mile on a page we could read, and neither appears under a Coral Gables address in the state’s latest inspection file.
