Outdoor dining in Coral Gables centers on Giralda Plaza, the 100 block of Giralda Avenue downtown, which the city reopened in 2017 as a pedestrian walkway lined with restaurants, bars and coffee shops with indoor and outdoor seating (city of Coral Gables). Two more places with covered outdoor seating are a few blocks away on Giralda at Salzedo Street and on Salzedo Street near Shops at Merrick Park.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside the Coral Gables city limits, the same data behind our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 9, 2026. We kept only places whose own site mentions a terrace, patio or outdoor seating, or that sit on Giralda Plaza, where the city describes outdoor seating along the block. Several OpenStreetMap entries tagged with outdoor seating did not mention it on their own sites, so they are not here. The list is alphabetical. Calista Greek Seafood Taverna on Giralda Plaza serves Greek seafood, with fish imported daily, and a taverna bar with Greek wines and beers. Its site invites diners to eat al fresco on its terrace.

Costazul is a Peruvian seafood restaurant on Giralda Plaza. It serves lunch and dinner daily and a weekend brunch from noon to 4 p.m., according to its site.

Coyo Taco has a restaurant and lounge on Giralda Plaza that stays open until 2 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Its menu lists tacos from al pastor to beer-battered grouper.

Eating House is chef Giorgio Rapicavoli’s restaurant on Giralda Plaza, drawing on his Argentine and Italian heritage, according to its site. It opens for dinner Wednesday to Sunday, weekend brunch and a happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday.

GROU Coffee + Cowork on Salzedo Street has a covered outdoor terrace with tables and benches, which its site says is dog friendly. It also hosts live music and local pop-up markets.

Tap 42 at Giralda Avenue and Salzedo Street, two blocks north of Miracle Mile, has covered patio booths, according to its site, along with a bar for watching games and a weekend brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Threefold Cafe on Giralda Plaza serves breakfast, coffee and brunch daily from 7:30 a.m. Its site says outdoor seating is available when conditions allow.
